Large place deposits of Titanium bearing sands are located near maputo in south and along the shore north of Quelimane. In fact heavy mineral sands have been found all along the coast line, making Mozambique as one of the largest sources of Titanium bearing mineral in the world.
Rachana has licensed in both the major provinces and detailed survey is in progress. The License in north is reported to contain about 4%HMS with thickness of deposit being 8 to 10 meters.
